Millions of moms draw the line when deciding to return to work at their ability to breastfeed. Limerick’s primary function is to provide benefits for employers to offer their working moms, so they have the tools they need to achieve all their life goals without compromise.
More than milk shipping
The need for milk shipping is just one piece of the support a mom needs when traveling. I addressed all their needs on the screen with access to travel guides, supplies to pump on the go, and multiple ingress points to the order process.
Limerick offers guidance for many issues around motherhood and travel, like storing milk, pumping at airports, lactation room support, and many others. So I chose an illustrative style as dynamic, energetic, and empowering as the conversations and women they represent.
I utilized the third section of the homepage for users to explore and access all the offerings that that might not be aware of using the clean soft esthetic established in the branding guidelines.
Scheduling
Shipping milk requires two shipments, shipping the cooler to the users destination then the user returning the cooler with milk to its final destination. Users in some cases may also choose to carry the box or be supplying milk as a surrogate and need one way shipping. I designed a scheduling process that allows for all these variables.
Ordering
Other milk shipping companies make users choose from a large selection of boxes confusing the entire process. The reality is there’s one key decision to make when selecting a shipping cooler and that is instant use or reusable. One works instantly as implied but can only be used once and the other can be reused but requires a freezer and time to freeze the elements.
I designed an ordering process that takes the confusion out of selecting a cooler by creating a cooler builder. There are three decisions to be made for a user to order the right cooler, cooling type, storage size, and milk container type. Rather than treating coolers like individual products, I allowed the user to build it to their needs and we will provide the correct product.
To ship milk, you need to pump milk and to pump milk while traveling you need supplies. Because accessories are a key part of the milk shipping services, the next step in the process is shopping accessories. Users can quickly scan through accessories, view product details, add quantity, and add to their order.
Edge Case
In rare cases moms will travel to multiple locations requiring multiple coolers to be shipped to multiple locations. This process is design to be add as many boxes as the user wants with control over the destination for each.
